The Association meets at least once per year. All residents and owners are welcome to attend. Its main business is the management of the gardens both front and back for which the Association employs a contractor.
The meeting also elects the office-bearers, identifies action on common repairs like the garden gates and discusses matters of common interest or concern in the wider Vennel/Grassmarket community.
The meeting usually ends with a glass of wine or coffee. This is not the place to raise issues such as roof repairs relating only to individual groups of properties: communication or meetings should be arranged directly with the owners concerned.
Other meetings may be called throughout the year as required. After each meeting the Secretary circulates a short report listing actions to be taken and by whom.
All owners pay a subscription, currently £50 a year, towards the cost of the contract.
